2 REGIONAL ACCESS MANAGER

The position reports to the Market Access Director Italy
Summary:
The Regional Market Access Manager is a newly created role focused on supporting the development and responsible of the implementation of the field-based market access strategy.
A unique role with full autonomy and the ability to shape priorities in-line with customers and business needs as part of a Italian launch team.
The role will play a key part in broadening the organization’s customer engagement, building strategic relationships with payers, pharmacists, tender stakeholders and other market access stakeholders at a regional and local/account level to ultimately help drive uptake of new products and pave the way for upcoming assets.
The selected candidate will also play a pivotal role in establishing a long-term relationship and collaboration with National Health System stakeholders by identifying and driving new partnership models and projects which can deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement MA plan for the assigned regions to ensure and maintain accessof new product in launch
  • Ensure and maintain professional productive relationship with external MA stakeholders and policymakers (Regional Health Authorities, PAGs, Account Payers, Scientific Societies)
  • Create and maintain updated the Regional mapping of decision processes, related to health policy and healthcare systems and Identify the Key Decision Makers and facilitators related to each step of the process
  • Ensure inclusion of Company products into Regional/Local formularies, interacting with all key stakeholders to create awareness about Company products value and to present/communicate HTA arguments
  • Monitor the identification of Regional Reference Centers to enable prescription
  • Monitor issuance, implementation, revision of Regional/local regulations and budgets
  • Interact with key stakeholders (decision makers, working groups/commissions, patient associations) to support the implementation/update of PDTA and/or Regional guidelines/recommendations involving our products, and monitor relevant developments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Regional stakeholders (Departments of Health, General Managers/Health Managers, Regional Commissions) aimed at establishing trust between institutions and Horizon, based on the utmost professionalism and respecting the business ethics, providing a reliable source of information and knowledge useful for making responsible choices in health policy, supporting the definition and implementation of projects/health care services and improving the quality and outcome of patient care
  • Develop partnerships with relevant societies (such as SIFO, SIF, SIHTA, SIFACT, etc)
  • Be the bridge between office and field to create partnership PP (public-private) through dedicated projects
  • Manage the regional/local tender process to ensure accreditation of the Company in the Regional/Area Vasta platforms, and the inclusion of the Company products into Regional and AV Tenders
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of a network with the Regional administrations and policy makers for the best implementation of the ongoing and future tenders
  • Include in the Regional Plans the necessary and agreed activities for the Tender management and Toll business
  • In collaboration with sales reps and MSLs, within the Field Task Force, prepare and implement the Regional Plans and propose actions in the medium and long-term based on the specific setting of each Regional Healthcare System
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Master/Bachelor's degree in economics, policies sciences, pharmacy, life sciences or related field
  • 5+ years of related experiences in the field of regional market access is mandatory
  • Demonstrated understanding of price & reimbursement landscape, processes, requirements in Italy
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and customers and patients oriented
  • Good communication and strategic thinking skills
  • Market intelligence skills: identify and segmentate the main decision makers in the respective territories
  • Analytical skills to contribute in supporting the tender process in the territories
  • Ability to drive projects forward work on own initiative and work with a cross functional team
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional matrix
  • Sufficient spoken/written English is preferable
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to build strong and long-term partnerships with key stakeholders. The selected candidate needs to have the ability to effectively synthesize clinical and health economic evidence into sharp messaging to be delivered to key access stakeholders. The candidate should also have good judgment and strong initiative.
